Trading Day Prep Work
Dow mini trading results - 03/14/07
The YM started the day off with a continuation of the daily sell signal triggered on Monday. It took out last weeks lows and dipped the Cash Dow below 12,000 before forming a "V" bottom and rallying into the close of the day. The range came in at 200% of its 20-day average and close within a single tick of its high.
I missed the morning selling with my new Wednesday schedule but made it in for the first 100tic buy signal after the DZ. It was one with separation and almost went to my target right away but fell short and actually came back to my entry before picking up the rally again. In hindsight it would have made two good trades had I not targeted so much. My target was the MC on the 2500tic chart. I trailed the trade outside the KC at start and then slip it to the trend filter once it got going. That was my only pure system play of the day.
I have been working one on one with a number of people over the last few weeks and in the process have been testing a new conferencing software that will hopefully allow us as a group to get onto the same page more easily. It seems to have accelerated the learning curve a good bit for those who I have been working with, particularly those who use different charting packages than I do or need really fundamental help on reading market activity. The software isn't perfect but hopefully through the continued testing I am doing in the next week or so I will be able to work out some kinks. Thanks again to those who have taken the time off their trading to help me test this out. I will post something to the group when I roll it out for real-time.
Its been a pretty good week so far and I am glad. Its expiration week with FOMC next week so I am glad to get ahead of schedule before it gets slow. (Here is the prior Post).

Looking towards tomorrow
The Pivot Trend Bias is DOWN so I will look short initially on a gap up and will be using the 89-sma for trend direction.
The daily sell signal has satisfied all of its minimum requirements and the markets seems to have bounced well initially off that LL. The Advancing Volume ratio made a major shift intraday and that not only often has follow-through but usually will carry things for a little while. My day may be cut short tomorrow but I will look to see how things open and go from there. I am leaning to the long side despite the PTB but there is a good bit of news so anything is open. Look to work the longs in the direction of your 25x TF's MC using your 5x or 1x TF. If the 1x then you want to play the deep ones and allow wiggle room. Staying in line with that 25x MC usually helps people because it is easy to focus on and is tight with the market structure.
I will continue to be using the 8K9C filter for my primary trading and as the teaching tool in the room. It is going well and seems to have helped most people clear up the mental cobwebs and focus on an easy to see and use filter. If anybody is struggling on this I encourage you to contact me either in the room or by email.
Have a great day! See you in the trading room. May God Bless you ~

Those who are joining the intraday trading room please feel free to ask questions on anything you are trading or any system related questions you may have.
I started a new yahoo group recently. It is to facilitate the distribution of the newsletter. Use the form above to join. There is no reason for users of the system to join as you already have access to the private room.
I recently uploaded the Trading-Focus audio and posted those links in the Yahoo group for those who want to use it.
Good luck! Be sure to contact me through the links on the About Me page if you have any questions. See my complete prep work for tomorrow.
