Trading Day Prep Work

Dow mini trading results  - 01/05/07

Happy New Year! I had a great holiday and it couldn't have come at a better time. After
four years without any significant time off I was worn out and now feel about 5-years
younger and I am excited about getting off to a good start in the new year.

I spent the last couple days getting myself back into the groove after almost three
weeks off from trading and I think I am set now. Tim in the room has really stepped
up and helped get us on a good path. It should be much easier for people to get up
to speed now. There is less filtering and mainly just a focus on those first signals
that I like so much. Stay in touch if you need extra help on that.

The Dow
started off lower today and slipped into shopping spree sell mode. I guess
in a down market that would be a mass recall versus a shopping spree. The volatility
has been nice the last few days and volume is coming in again. The range came in
at 118% of the 20-day average and we closed in the bottom 20% of the range.

I had 4-trades and reached my goal. My charting application has made a change
over the holiday so my time frames have been adjusted a little. I am on the 4tic and
20tic and those match the 8tic and 42tic pace from prior to the change. The first two
trades were 4-tic trades and the last two were 20-tic trades. They were all first
signals after 8K9C Separation as we have discussed in the room since it came into
existence. I will be posting the charts for the trades to the room later today or on
Saturday. That is the primary focus and will likely remain so.

It was a short week but its good to be back at work and seeing more people doing
well in the room. I hope this streamlined format sticks and helps people more.

Looking towards tomorrow

The Pivot Trend Bias is DOWN so I will be looking short initially and using the
89-sma and A-D intraday for trend direction.

The Declining Volume Ratio came in at 74%, which typically leads to some follow
through. I don't usually give that much thought over a weekend so I will just play it by
ear Monday morning and see what develops. The focus will be on first signals of
the system and I will be announcing the setup areas that I will be playing in the
room as the day unfolds. The plan will be to determine my bias and the take the first
4tic signal and then slide up to the 1st 20tic signal. That will get us to 3/4 of the goal
if it unfolds as planned and then we can decide whether to wait on the next series or
play the second 20tic signal.

If the Colts lose and I am in extended mourning then this may all take place in the
PM session : >

Have a great weekend! See you in
the trading room.  May God Bless you ~

Those who are joining the intraday trading room please feel free to ask questions
on anything you are trading or any system related questions you may have.

I started a new yahoo group recently. It is to facilitate the distribution of the
newsletter. Use the form above to join. There is no reason for users of the system
to join as you already have access to the private room.

I recently uploaded the Trading-Focus audio and posted those links in the Yahoo
group for those who want to use it.

Good luck! Be sure to contact me through the links on the About Me page if you have
any questions. See my
